Canyon of the Eagles Lodge & Nature Park

Edgewater Cottages and RV Park

224 S. Winding Way, Buchanan Dam. They have 37 RV sites with four-way hookups, recreation room, lighted fishing pier and a store with bait, tackle, ice and drinks. The park sits on Lake Buchanan and includes a boat launch. If you don’t have an RV, Edgewater has eight cottages available. Fort Mason City Park

U.S. 87 south of the Mason Square. They have 29 hookups and offer all types of camping. They have a new laundry and access to the fairgrounds and clubhouse. The sites include several pull through and back ins. Wi-Fi Internet access. Call (325) 347-2064.


Galloway-Hammond Parks and Recreation Center

1601 S. Water (U.S. 281), Burnet, first come-first served, two miles south of downtown, phone. The park is adjacent to hiking trails and near the Delaware Springs Golf Course.(512) 756-6180.


Heart of Texas Lake Resort

Miller Creek RV Park

Five miles south of Johnson City at  5618 U.S. 281. They have 32 big pull-throughs and 22 back-ins with a reverse-osmosis water system, septic, 30/50 amp. Free phone and wireless Internet. Sunset Point on Lake LBJ
